About Me

In addition to representing benefit corporations, I count other startups, growth companies, and investors among my clients (you can read more about that work below).

I'm from Omaha, Nebraska, but moved to Lincoln for college and have stayed here since. I graduated from the University of Nebraska with a BSBA in 2007, and I received my both my JD and MBA from the University of Nebraska in 2011. Upon entering the legal field, I was an attorney at the Lincoln-based firm of Cline Williams Wright Johnson & Oldfather, LLP specializing in real estate, corporate law, and commercial contracts.

I understand life as an entrepreneur because I've been running my own side hustles for as long as I can remember. From opening a lemonade stand and writing a neighborhood newsletter as a kid to my more recent ecommerce ventures like selling apparel, designing custom sportswear, and producing wooden prescription eyewear, I have always had the itch for entrepreneurship and now love helping clients make an impact in their world.

I operate semi-virtually but do work primarily from Lincoln. When I'm not there, you can find me visiting friends and family across the United States, playing or coaching Ultimate frisbee, or on adventures in far-flung places (like North Korea and Myanmar). I also teach online and on campus college courses in Critical Thinking and Business Law at various universities across the Midwest.

Feel free to check out my blog. I don't update it that regularly but you can read about my non-work experiences of trying out for an Olympic team and coaching college ultimate.
